Heather Maxwell,
a native of Champaign, Ill., after five seasons as the director
of basketball operations on the Notre Dame women's
basketball staff, founded FULL ARENA Marketing & Consulting.
Prior to assuming the director of basketball operations position,
Maxwell spent one year as a marketing and promotions assistant
at Notre Dame. During her tenure, the number of Irish women's
basketball season ticket holders tripled. Consequently, average
attendance for Irish women's basketball games ranked among the
top 15 in the nation in each of the last five seasons, highlighted
by a school-record 7,825 fans per game in 2001-02.
Maxwell also played a key role in attracting the first two sellout
crowds in Notre Dame women's basketball history -- Jan. 15, 2001
vs. Connecticut and Feb. 24, 2001 vs. Georgetown. In addition,
under her watch, the Irish attracted 18 of the top 20 largest
women's basketball crowds in school history (including 11 audiences
of at least 8,000 fans), and they had an active streak of 51
consecutive games with at least 5,000 fans.
As coordinator of basketball operations for the Irish, Maxwell
assisted in managing the administrative aspects of the program's
nationally-ranked recruiting efforts. She also coordinated film
exchange, aided in the day-to-day operations of the office and
practice planning. She also served as a liaison for the women's
basketball office with a number of administrative offices in
the Notre Dame athletics department and across campus, including
academic services and life skills. In addition, Maxwell was responsible
for all marketing efforts associated with the women's basketball
team and she served as director of the Irish women's basketball
camps.
